I design gardens for private homes in London and the Home Counties; gardens that are beautiful, considered, and made to be lived in.
Every project starts with a conversation about how you use your outdoor space, what you love, and what you want to feel when you're in it. From there I develop a design that's rooted in the particular character of your home, your plot, and the way you actually live.
I believe a well-designed garden doesn't announce itself. It simply feels right; generous, calm, and quietly extraordinary through every season.
HOW I WORK
My design service covers everything from initial concept through to the finished garden, including detailed specifications, planting schemes, joinery, lighting, and the furniture and accessories that make a garden feel complete from day one.
I work with a small group of skilled landscapers I've built relationships with over many years; people who care about the quality of what they build as much as I care about the quality of what I design. I oversee every project through construction, so nothing gets lost between the drawing board and the ground.
Custom joinery, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, screening structures, storage are designed as part of the whole rather than added at the end. The result is a garden that feels considered in every detail, not assembled from parts.
I've been doing this for over fifteen years. I know where projects go wrong, and I know how to make sure they don't.
HOW I COLLABORATE
Good gardens don't happen in isolation. I work closely with architects and interior designers from early in the process so that the garden and the interior are genuinely connected, not just adjacent.
I've built relationships over many years with nurseries across the UK and Europe whose plants I trust completely. Provenance and quality matter, the right plant, well-grown and properly sourced, makes a difference you can see and feel.
The landscapers I build with are not contractors I find for each job they are people I have worked with repeatedly, whose standards I know and trust. I choose them carefully and stay involved throughout the build, because the quality of the construction is as important as the quality of the design. A beautiful drawing deserves an equally beautiful execution.
The craftspeople and suppliers I work with share the same standards. Bespoke joinery, ironwork, ceramics, outdoor lighting, everything is chosen or made specifically for the project, never off-the-shelf when something better is possible.
And throughout, I work closely with you. The gardens I'm most proud of are the ones where the client's personality is quietly present in every corner, without them necessarily being able to say exactly how it got there.
